Finds the music on your car's USB drive
Pulse HD started because no other player could find the music on a USB drive plugged into an Android head unit. Car Mode turns on by itself when your car's Bluetooth connects and switches to big buttons you can hit without looking.

Is Pulse HD really free?
Yes. The free version has no ads and no time limit. It includes your full library, Car Mode, USB detection, the Ripple visualizer and a 3-band EQ. Pro is an optional $3.99 one-time upgrade.
What do I get with Pro?
All seven visualizers with saved presets, the Intermediate and Expert EQ with device profiles, all 11 skins and the Theme Store, synced lyrics, unlimited playlists, album and artist views, Last.fm scrobbling, the tag editor and crossfade.
Will it play music from my car's USB drive?
On Android head units, yes. Pulse HD finds music on USB drives that many players miss, and Car Mode turns on when your car's Bluetooth connects. Android Auto support is on the roadmap for v1.x.
Does Pulse HD collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, analytics, trackers or ad networks, and your music never leaves your phone. A few optional features, like lyrics and Last.fm, contact those services only when you use them. The privacy policy has the details.
Does the visualizer use my microphone?
Only if you turn on microphone mode, and the permission is optional. Sound is analyzed on your phone in real time to drive the visuals. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
Where do the lyrics come from?
From LRCLib, a free, open lyrics library. When you open lyrics, Pulse HD sends the song's title, artist, album and length to find a match. No personal information is sent.
Can I stream from my own server?
Yes. Connect any Subsonic-compatible server, such as Navidrome. Pulse HD talks only to the server address you enter.
Made by one person who loves music
StumpCo Labs is an independent Android developer. Pulse HD began with one annoyance: no music player could find the files on a car head unit's USB drive and still look good doing it.
The rules since then have stayed simple. Make software that's powerful without being complicated, charge once, and never show ads.
